Alumni Week is on the way

PLYMOUTH - Reunions of all kinds and family fun will highlight a first ever week in Plymouth as the Plymouth Alumni Association sponsors "Alumni Week" July 31 through August 6.

The week long group of events will celebrate the Plymouth Community and graduates of Plymouth Schools beginning on Sunday with the Plymouth Alumni Association annual Members Meeting that will be followed by a family day at the Plymouth Municipal Pool for all members.

Later that evening beginning at 6 p.m. Bill Nixon Field will host an Old Timers Baseball game giving former Pilgrim players a chance to show their stuff one more time. Any former player wanting to play should contact Josh Dietz at 574-286-5709 email joshdietz@embarqmail.com. 

On August 2 the Plymouth Alumni Association hosts Family Game Night at Mancino's. Bring the family and your favorite board games, grab some pizza and enjoy the evening with friends and family.

Wednesday August 3 is a night long celebration of volleyball. Beginning at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Jr. High where an Alumni game is being planned by Janis Holiday. If you want to play contact her at 574-936-1858, 574-780-2725 or email jmholiday@embarqmail.com

Later on Wednesday night Make sure to stick around for community Glow Volleyball in the sand at Centennial Park sponsored by the Plymouth Alumni Association and the Plymouth Park Department.

The week is capped off with a double dose of food, fun and fellowship on the golf course as the Plymouth Country Club will again host the annual Ladies Big Red Open Scramble set for Thursday August 4. Registration is at 9 a.m. with a shot gun tee off at 9:30 a.m. Registration forms are available at the Pilot News or the Plymouth Country Club.

The next day it's the 21st annual Art Thomas Open also at the Plymouth Country Club. Sign up to be a member of the Plymouth Alumni Association and save on your entry fee. Later on August 5 is the Alumni Social hosted by the Classes of 1967-1978 at Swan Lake Resort. All PHS Alumni are welcome to attend from 7 p.m. to Midnight.

Saturday it's reunion time with the class of 1976 hosting a get together at The Office and the class of 1986 celebrates their 25th in style at The Brass Rail.

You don't need to be a PHS grad to come out and enjoy the fun or to be a member of the Plymouth Alumni Association. The only requirement is a desire to help Plymouth Schools continue to offer the outstanding extra and co-curricular programs - art, music, theatre and sports - that have made the school one of the finest in the state.
